  • The MYAA is having tryouts for the 2011 Sunday Travel League for Boys 8U, 9U, 10U & Girls 10U and 12U teams on September 12th.  Tryout times and locations are as follows:
  • Boys 10U- Anna McDonald North from 9am-10am; Coached by John Tyk
  • Boys 9U- Anna McDonald North from 10am-12noon; Coached by Chris Busse
  • Boys 8U- Anna McDonald South from 10am-12noon; Coached by Tom Slazyk
  • Girls 12U- Jr. High South from 12noon-2pm; Coached by Jeff May
  • Girls 10U- Jr. High South from 12noon-2pm; Coach undecided
  • ALL BOYS AND GIRLS ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO COME AND TRYOUT!

 

 

  • Registration forms for the 2011 Sunday Travel League tryouts are available by following our 'Registration' link on the left.  At this time, we only have coaches offering to help at our boy's baseball 8U (Tom Slazyk) and 9U (Chris Busse) levels.

  • Registration for the spring 2011 Recreational Baseball/Softball/T-Ball program will be available later this fall.

    Rookie Cory Luebke sent the San Diego Padres into a key series against San Francisco on a positive note. Luebke struck out seven in six sparkling innings and San Diego added to its lead in the NL West with a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night. "Today there was a little bit better calmness about him," Padres manager Bud Black said.

    The Arizona Diamondbacks made the most of the few opportunities they had Wednesday night, and Daniel Hudson took care of the rest. Hudson pitched seven effective innings and the Diamondbacks ended the San Francisco Giants' four-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory. Miguel Montero, Stephen Drew and Kelly Johnson each drove in a run for Arizona, which snapped a four-game skid.
  • Joyce to umpire Galarraga's next start (AP)
    When Armando Galarraga steps onto the mound to face Baltimore on Friday night, the Tigers pitcher will see a familiar face behind home plate in umpire Jim Joyce. This time, it's Joyce who plans on being perfect. Joyce, widely considered one of the majors' top umpires, cost the Tigers right-hander a perfect game on June 2 when he incorrectly called the Indians' Jason Donald safe at first...
